The Faces Behind Flying Dresses New York
Meet Danni
Born in Long Island and raised in New Jersey, Danni is a full-time photographer, adventurer, and the creative heart behind Flying Dresses New York. She brings her love for fashion, travel, and storytelling together in one of the greatest cities in the world.
Danni first headed south to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to study Resort Tourism Management — and it was during a study abroad semester in Spain that everything changed. She fell in love with travel, eventually moving back to Spain and then following the call of the ocean onto cruise ships.
It was on those ships that she met her partner Fede, together visiting 100 countries, co-founding the travel brand Scratch Your Mapa, and eventually dreaming up a new kind of NYC experience.
After years behind the camera, Danni partnered with local seamstresses in Argentina to bring flying dresses to New York City — handmade gowns, designed to fit every body, photographed against the most iconic skyline in the world.

It all started in 2023, with a dream to bring the iconic flying dresses of Cappadocia and Santorini to our very own backyard.

Meet Fede
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Fede is a filmmaker, marketer, and the creative director who makes every NYC flying dress photoshoot come alive.
Fede studied film in Buenos Aires before joining a Work and Travel program in Vermont, where he learned English and caught the travel bug for good. He later joined a cruise ship crew — where he met Danni — and has since explored 88 countries, co-founding Scratch Your Mapa along the way.
On set, Fede is the director: coaching poses, flying the dress, and making sure every frame tells a story.
Behind the scenes, he built this entire website from scratch and runs the marketing strategy that keeps the business moving. A natural with people, he works comfortably in Spanish, English, and a little Portuguese and French — which comes in handy when clients fly in from around the world to shoot with us.
When he’s not directing a shoot or building something on a screen, you’ll find him on a soccer field or at a piano.
How We Work as NYC Flying Dress Photographers
We’re not based in a studio. We split our time between Buenos Aires and the open road — and fly into New York City whenever we can, dresses in tow, ready to create something extraordinary.
Every gown in our collection is handmade by local seamstresses in Argentina, designed for real bodies and every shape and size. We bring them to New York, we take them around the world, and we photograph them in the places that take your breath away.
Our dream is to grow a team of like-minded photographers and creatives who share our values — so that even when we’re on the other side of the world, Flying Dresses New York is out there making people feel extraordinary.
Our Mission
Flying Dresses New York was built on the belief that travel, art, and community belong together.
Every dress in our collection is handmade by local seamstresses in Argentina — women who pour their craft into every seam so that women of every shape and size can feel extraordinary in front of New York City’s skyline. We design for real bodies, because magic shouldn’t have a size limit.
During the 2026 FIFA World Cup — the biggest sporting event in history, landing right here in our city — we’re going one step further. Every booking we take goes back into the local community: supporting small businesses, funding neighborhood events, and celebrating the immigrants, women, and everyday New Yorkers who make this city what it is.
We’re not a big company. We’re a Jersey girl and an Argentine who fell in love on a cruise ship, split our time between Buenos Aires and the open road, and fly into New York City whenever we can — dresses in tow — to create something magical. When you book a shoot with us, you’re not just getting photos. You’re supporting a small business that supports other small businesses — and helping us prove that the best things in New York aren’t made by corporations.
