This World Cup event in NYC is for women in the entire New York City area who are immigrants, daughters of immigrants, or deeply connected to one of the 48 World Cup nations — and who are building something: a business, a brand, a creative practice, a community. If you’ve ever felt like you exist between worlds, this space was made for you.

We’re using our signature Flag Flying Dress Photoshoots to create more than just memories, but an entire celebration of the women that make this corner of the world so special.

have questions? We’ve got answers

Dresses are one-size-fits-most. We use elastic in the waist and adjustable ties on top, so that all pieces can fit sizes XS-XL.

The event is completely free to attend! Attendants must apply in advance, and only one woman can be chosen from each country.

Flying Dresses New York will be providing all dresses! They will be handed out at the beginning of the event and returned at the end of the event.

Attendees are not required to bring anything! We do recommend however, bringing small shorts to go underneath the skirts. For the tops, we typically recommend a sticky bra or a bit of fashion tape for maximum comfort. If you have a large chest, we’d recommend bringing a top of your choice with one of the colors of your flag, just in case.

Flying Dresses New York is not requiring any specific content from participants. That being said, we would be extremely grateful if you could tag us @flyingdressesnewyork on Instagram!
